I am an associate professor of public policy at the University of Michigan's Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy. Broadly speaking, my research interests are on the social safety net, education policy, labor economics, and economic demography. Much of my current work focuses on the effects of the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and the Child Tax Credit (CTC) on family well-being.
